After nine years again she continued to educate herself in alternative healing techniques which involved more therapeutic healing techniques. She was also accepted into the Psychic medium ship and worked with Belle Salisbury and became certified. She received a certification as a Spiritual Teacher under Doreen Virtue in California.

Beatrice Johnson has many years in the field of Training and Development. Born and raised in Akwesasne, encountered many struggles throughout life. Much of her life experiences have helped people through their own situations knowing anyone can always change from within. With the support of many friends and family, she rehabilitated herself and joined many native cultural ceremonies to connect with her inner spirituality. After completing courses in Adult Education, she began teaching a wide variety of classes to build the skills of the community in 1992. She developed and taught various curriculums: Life Skills, Career Development, and became Certified Training Manager/Director. In 2001, she built an independent consulting company that taught groups Team Building, Stress, Communication, Leadership Skills, Delegation, and Motivation. She received Reiki Certification for hands on healing, moon/ fasting camp and sweat lodge ceremonies, and attended/conducted many meditation classes. It became apparent that in order for any teams/families to become a strong and unified, each individual must strengthen self first, and then the team/family thrives.

Emmy, and Beatrice are members of the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation. Throughout their corporate career/life, they have always known there was something more. Their life story and self-healing made them aware of the need and importance of educating people to use various tools to heal and grow. Both truly believe that their life experiences and skills have guided them together to create what is now known today as the Thompson Memorial Wellness Center.
