Medical massage
Helpful to individuals who suffer from an assortment of health conditions,
including repetitive motion injuries, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, muscle
spasms, neuromuscular conditions, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, chronic headaches,
whiplash, rotator cuff injuries, and soft-tissue injuries as well. Additionally,
medical massage increases blood supply to skeletal muscles and other body
components. Furthermore, medical massage is also evidenced to stimulate
the nervous system as well. Overall, medical massage is a noninvasive
therapy that produces beneficial health results to those experiencing
numerous health-related illnesses and injuries.
Orthopedic Massage
A system of integrated massage techniques that are effective in rehabilitation
of soft-tissue dysfunction. Helpful in aligning soft tissue, orthopedic
massage focuses on pain treatment and improving muscular functioning.
Orthopedic massage incorporates techniques which improve range of motion,
and passive and isometric testing. Orthopedic massage includes massage
techniques such as fascial release of connective tissues, transverse friction
massage and muscle energy techniques as well. Benefits of orthopedic massage
are increased blood circulation and relaxation. Additionally, orthopedic
massage helps to dissolve adhesions, realign soft tissue and reduce or
eliminate tension; and much more. Orthopedic massage is often used to
enhance performance of athletes, dancers and by individuals wishing to
improve overall health and well-being.
Sports Massage
A special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after
athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete
for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce
muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries. The main
purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and
tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity.
Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse,
massage can break them down quickly and effectively. The massage will
help prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue,
to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility
and to prevent injuries. Sports massage can help prevent those niggling
injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement,
whether a person is an athlete or a once a week jogger.
Lymphatic Drainage Technique can prove beneficial in the correction of numerous conditions as well as in preventive health maintenance.
In essence, Lymph Drainage Therapy works to help recirculation of body fluids, stimulating functioning of the immune system, and balance the autonomic nervous system.
It is shown that when these actions are accomplished, the results maybe: Reduction in edemas (swelling) and lymph edemas of many origins, Relief of Chronic and sub acute inflammation and conditions such as acne, eczema and allergies, Immune system stimulation for preventative and therapeutic effects, Regeneration of tissues (e.g., from burns and pre- and post-surgical scarring) and anti-aging effects, Detoxification of the body, Relief of chronic pain, Deep relaxation to aid insomnia, depression, stress, loss of vitality, and loss of memory, Ant spastic actions to relieve conditions such as voluntary or involuntary hyper tonus, Reduction in the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle method of detection and correction that encourages your own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate these negative effects of stress on your central nervous system. You also benefit from better overall health and resistance to disease.
